The daily highlight is a productivity technique from the book *Make Time* by John Zeratsky and Jake Knapp.
Here’s how he describes it:
“The idea is to choose one specific task that we want to get done during the day. And while on most days we have to do much more than a single task, setting a daily highlight makes it more probable that we're going to finish - at least - that one particular thing.
An overly long to-do list may lead to analysis paralysis and eventually us not taking action because of the feeling of being overwhelmed. But whenever I set a daily highlight I almost always get that one thing done.”
So, choose one task on a single day that you absolutely need to get done.
